Our own visit counting (no cookies)
We also count visits to this website ourselves, without cookies or any other storage on your device. When you open a public page, your browser sends us the page’s address (never anything after a “?” or “#”), the site that linked you here, any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign), and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. Our server adds your country, worked out from your IP address, and the type of browser and operating system (for example “Safari on iOS”). We keep these with the day and the hour of your visit, not the exact time, and an address that isn’t one of this site’s pages is kept only as “other page”.
To count each visitor once a day without knowing who they are, we turn your IP address and browser details into an anonymous code, mixed with a random value that exists for one day only. Your IP address and browser details are never stored, and our staff see only totals, never single visits. Until the day ends, our systems could recompute the code for someone whose IP address and browser they already knew; shortly after midnight (New York time) the random value is deleted, and from then on no one can trace the code back to you or link it from one day to the next. Private and personal-link pages are never counted, nothing is sent if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and we keep these records for 13 months.
Third parties
- Google Analytics runs only after you opt in; no social media trackers run on this website.
- Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, our hosting provider’s cookie-free tool. It stores nothing on your device and reports only totals (pages viewed, the site you came from, country and device type), not who you are. Private and personal-link pages are never counted.
- Our fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn’t contact Google Fonts.
- Agreement PDFs you open are served from our secure file storage (Supabase).
- Our emails may use a small image and tracked links, through our email provider (Resend), to tell us whether a message was opened or a link clicked, and may load a web font from Google Fonts. Most email apps let you block images.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site may not work fully without essential ones. We honor Global Privacy Control. Optional cookies are used only if you allow them, and you can change your mind any time under .
